Thinking Like a Mountain: Nature, Humans, and Management

Join us for outdoor activities in Aspen/Snowmass, Colorado for the 20^th Anniversary of IABS! This beautiful setting resonates with the conference theme, and we believe this will be both an educational and an enjoyable experience for all. Here are the details:

Thursday, June 18 and Friday, June 19

Take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy some of America's most unspoiled outdoor areas! We are offering three activities on Thursday: an all-day river trip, a "half-day" downhill bike ride, and a "half-day" (2.5 hour) hike. On Friday, we have the Explore Aspen's Natural Environments trip, a great trip for all to learn about the local area, and crafted especially with those in mind whose mobility is limited or who have small children accompanying them. Friday also offers another river trip, a "half-day" (2.5 hour) horseback ride (including a visit to a local monastery and hopefully an opportunity to meet with one of the brothers), and a "half-day" (2.5 hour) wilderness hike.

You may wish to order an optional boxed lunch when you register for the conference and take it with you on your afternoon jaunt on Friday.
